Fog
Back in January, I was in the back seat of the car, driving into town. As I was looking out the window, I could see fog hovering over the Clearwater River. It really was a beautiful sight! I like the fog, unlike some people.
Looking out at the fog over the river reminded me of Genesis 1:2 where it says the Spirit of the Lord hovered over the deep. It never says that the Spirit lifted from hovering over the earth; God is still hovering over us!
The fact that Jesus walked on water to get to His disciples—in the middle of a storm—and stood in a fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, tells me that He is right here in the middle of my figurative storm. Compared to those, my “storm” looks like it would be no-biggy for Him!
Like I just said above, I like the fog. Even though I cannot see through my storm like I can’t see through the fog, I know that He is there. He is hovering over my deep, and dark void. I know that He has promised to never leave me, nor forsake me (Heb. 13:5), and all His promises are yes and amen (2 Cor. 1:20)!
Good job!
