All Lives Matter
I’m sure most of you reading this has heard what happened to George Floyd. It hurts not just Mr. Floyd, but his family, his friends, his town, his county, his state, his region, his country… When something terrible happens, lots of people feel it. It hurts God’s heart… God is a God of justice; He desires righteousness and justice.
You hear of the movement “Black Lives Matter;” it started July 13, 2013. Why do we even have to have a movement like that? We shouldn’t! You know what? Jesus wasn’t white. He was born in Middle East, and the majority there are not white. God doesn’t see someone defined by their specific color, accent, language, etc. I saw my friend post it like this…
“This is God’s view; He doesn’t see black and white… He sees a beautiful glob of people.”
Of course, that’s paraphrase, but I love the picture of how she said it. God loves diversity. He is the God of the black, white, red, yellow, English speaking, Arabic speaking, Swahili speaking, Braille reading, signed language, the aborted, the blind, the D/deaf, the “good,” the “bad,” and everyone in between! He sees a beautiful mess of people. People who He loves, and desires them to love Him back.
He created each and every one of us human beings in our own and unique way. Only you can bring to the table what He gifted you with. No one else can do it for you. I am still learning where and how I will be used, as I assume most of you are. I’m certain that life will constantly be changing, so I’ll never know for sure. But I am ready to serve our lovely and diverse world with my gifts that God has given me.
Good job once again. God is the God of all things!!!
It’s definitely an interesting time right now.
